This 6-hour class is limited to Columbia County residents between the ages of 15 - 17 who have a Learners Permit or Driver’s License and at least three months of driving experience. 

• Children can now attend during public school hours without it affecting their record of attendance. 

  • Please allow up to 5 business days for the adjustment to be made to their attendance record.

  • Please direct all questions and concerns regarding their record of attendance to the CCBOE. 

• To date, all upcoming classes will be offered during the school week. 

  • This is the only way we can offer more classes through the year while maintaining our Agency and Academy training schedules. 

  • We do not offer this class during holidays or weekends.

  • Students receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course. 

  • There is no cost to take the course.

• Parents and children are required to sign a "Release and Indemnity" Agreement in order to participate in this class. The form will be attached to the first confirmation e-mail. Please bring the original completed form with you the day of class; e-mailed copies will not be accepted. 

• A confirmation e-mail will be sent out within a month prior to the class date. 

• A second confirmation e-mail will be sent within 2 weeks prior to the class date. It will include start and end times and the course location with directions. Please see below for clothing requirements.

• You are REQUIRED to confirm your child's attendance to this class; whether they CAN or CANNOT attend. 

• There is a deadline for confirmations in order to manage the large waitlist we have at this time.

• For those that cannot attend the upcoming class, please let me know if you would like to remain on the waiting list.

It will be assumed that those that do not confirm by the deadline are no longer interested.

• Please have your child wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear on the day of class (no open-toe shoes, please).

• Lunch is provided (pizza and drinks).

If your child cannot attend this class date for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. 

We understand that emergencies, illness, last-minute schedule changes and all the other little things in life that we have no control over inevitably happen (especially with kids!), and in those cases we are more than happy to add your child to the next class. 

However, those that are “no call/no show” the day of class will be removed from the waiting list. Thank you for understanding!
